Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Bucesta in the 4th minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marek Žilák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. Marek Žilák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 30th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osoitz Cascajares kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 42nd minute of the game Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marek Žilák prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's Fausto Bucesta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Osoitz Cascajares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the game, R.B Leipzig's Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. In the 72nd minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in R.B Leipzig's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Žilák came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, R.B Leipzig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoitz Cascajares to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
