The audience was convinced that Dawid Kochowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 11th minute Topsail were awarded a corner. Brent Goldsmith went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 12th minute, Sabin Bălcescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 18th minute. Wendell Conn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bill Carmichael. Bill Carmichael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 32 minutes Topsail's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a Topsail's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Topsail booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wendell Conn in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dawid Kochowski in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Topsail's Juliusz Julku was substituted for Sondang Prabowo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Topsail's Wendell Conn shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Carmichael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Dawid Kochowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bill Carmichael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bill Carmichael quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Topsail's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dawid Kochowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dawid Kochowski in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juliusz Julku showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 82 minute of play. When Wendell Conn came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Topsail fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wendell Conn couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dawid Kochowski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wendell Conn, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Topsail supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Topsail would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
