Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo-Wilfried Schouten got free with Dante Lacasa in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo Beckman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Prime Hock came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Dragons AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Guerau to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Beckman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Prime Hock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Prime Hock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Jo-Wilfried Schouten sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prime Hock in the 30th minute of the match. Lorenzo Beckman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Dragons AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Luca Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lorenzo Beckman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dragons AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lorenzo Beckman quite easily take care of the ball. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jo-Wilfried Schouten in the 51st minute of play. Donato Barbosa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Santos came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Donato Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragons AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Donato Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 66th minute of play forced Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Beckman made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Dragons AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. When Melquiades Lico fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragons AFC's protests and gave Melquiades Lico a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dragons AFC's Melquiades Lico got a free kick in the 75th minute. Dragons AFC's Valentin Elorri was substituted for Nicasio Gomesano. After 76 played minutes Dragons AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Lico. After a rather tough play, Dragons AFC's Donato Barbosa got a free kick in the 77th minute. Lorenzo Beckman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Gaona. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gaona got free with Lorenzo Beckman in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Justino Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
