In the 18th match minute, Dragons AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Sigali to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lorenzo Beckman skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute, Prime Hock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dragons AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prime Hock got free with Julio Vera in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Barbosa's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Donato Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Dragons AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Justino Santos hit a great ball. Donato Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jo-Wilfried Schouten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragons AFC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicasio Gomesano took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Jo-Wilfried Schouten managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prime Hock was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prime Hock in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lorenzo Beckman. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. 61 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lorenzo Beckman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jo-Wilfried Schouten came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dragons AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Prime Hock hit a great ball. Dragons AFC made a substitution. Valentin Elorri replaced Nicasio Gomesano. In the 77th minute, Prime Hock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prime Hock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lorenzo Beckman came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Dragons AFC's Lorenzo Beckman got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dragons AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Elorri hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Jo-Wilfried Schouten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dragons AFC.
