The throw-in from Joschi Hook in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. 7 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. In the 9th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joschi Hook to maneuver through the defense. Joakim Haegg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anders Lundqvist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 20th minute of the match Golden Lions FC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arne Tönnberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. 23 minutes into the match, Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anders Lundqvist, 1-1. Anders Lundqvist made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Lundqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Nyström in the 32nd minute of play. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Joschi Hook made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luz Tejedor to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Lundqvist having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Anders Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 61st minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Bebben Johansson came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Marcelo Steven replaced İbrahim Efe Topdemir. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Cosme Larpe replaced Mats Nyström. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Loco Durazno. 74 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Golden Lions FC's Georg Termander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebben Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 77th minute of the game was made by Igor Dzierwa with Burç Tokhan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 78th minute, Bebben Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Igor Dzierwa in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 84th minute of the match. Anders Lundqvist came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 87th minute of play. When Bebben Johansson fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden Lions FC's protests and gave Bebben Johansson a yellow card for diving instead. Bebben Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Lundqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Golden Lions FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peru.
