Despite this Denis Calvino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornelio Ixidor in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Cornelio Ixidor could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Marcos Cotilla however easily saved by the left post. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Bingen in the 26th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Bingen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Hipolito Feliu notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 62nd minute. The corner led Panama's Abraham Alguacil to fire away a dangerous shot which Denis Calvino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Benino in the 73rd minute of the match. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Denis Calvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. In the 78th minute, Cornelio Ixidor made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ixidor in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Panama's Abraham Alguacil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denis Calvino. Denis Calvino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. Dario Bingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Benino went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score.
