In the 15th minute Mei Zhen Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ognyan Pironkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes of play, Canevare's Mei Zhen Kun made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ognyan Pironkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th match minute, FC Pirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spas Maslev to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, FC Pirates's Toma Drashanski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberigo Tripodi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Pirates reached it. After 24 played minutes FC Pirates got a freekick which was hit by Toshko Dzhorgov. In the 28th minute, Toma Drashanski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ognyan Pironkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Bosso in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Peter Flaa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberigo Tripodi. Canevare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Flaa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Flaa got free with Alberigo Tripodi in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Peter Flaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peter Flaa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Alberigo Tripodi made a huge save. FC Pirates's Ognyan Pironkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acep Hasanuddin in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, FC Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Bosso came free, but Ognyan Pironkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Canevare were awarded a corner. Franco Ottavi went to the cornerflag to take it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Flaa was the one to do the kick off. Canevare's Alberigo Tripodi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Flaa in the 56th minute of play. Ognyan Pironkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acep Hasanuddin in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Canevare getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Andrea Mascia hit a great ball. Alberigo Tripodi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Flaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After taking down the ball on FC Pirates's corner Bayan Pantev fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alberigo Tripodi quite easily take care of the ball. 65 minutes into the game, FC Pirates's Peter Flaa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberigo Tripodi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alberigo Tripodi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Flaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With an all-out effort, Canevare's Ognyan Pironkov threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Acep Hasanuddin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Pirates's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
