When Baycan Cinel fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niğde FK's protests and gave Baycan Cinel a yellow card for diving instead. Baycan Cinel hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Baycan Cinel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Akdoğu having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Honduras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brian Fitzpatrick fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 35 minutes into the game, Jannick Husegaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. If Brian Fitzpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brian Fitzpatrick was the one to do the kick off. Güral Canay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Güral Canay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Mehmet Akdoğu made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, Niğde FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Akdoğu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Şanver Hazar in the 78 minute of the game. Mehmet Akdoğu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Niğde FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Honduras's corner Luca Espinar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mehmet Akdoğu quite easily take care of the ball. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Akdoğu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd match minute, Niğde FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannick Husegaard to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Valentín Carvallo got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güral Canay in the 86th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Akdoğu having to interfere. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Niğde FK.
