The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Txordon. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barrialito AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Barrialito AFC's Jaime Eleazar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 11th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Alexandros Peropoulos scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Alexandros Peropoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the match, Alexandros Peropoulos notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandros Peropoulos got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Barrialito AFC were awarded a corner. Jaime Eleazar went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Miroslav Klöser. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Conrado Txordon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Conrado Txordon really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Alexandros Peropoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Alexandros Peropoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Alexandros Peropoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandros Peropoulos in the 51st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Barrialito AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barrialito AFC's Natalio Bieito was substituted for Conrado Txordon. The supporters of Barrialito AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Frasco came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Aquiles Beat made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. In the 91st match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Beat to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barrialito AFC had played much better football throughout.
