Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timmy Hasselqvist's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kurdish Warriors's goalkeeper Wictor Hagström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Andreasson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conny Andreasson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
