Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Orain in the 33rd minute of the match. Marian Adamski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 40th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 朱凌松 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Machado in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Desfachatados F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 朱凌松 in the 77th minute. A well done corner resulted in Marcelo Fraco drilling the ball in to score 2-4 behind Venezuela's goalkeeper. After having played for 83 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robustiano Machado's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Adamski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marian Adamski was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the match was over Desfachatados F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venezuela throughout the match.
