Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Blomkvist went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicasio Abad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 29th minute of play. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicasio Abad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. William Lebigot replaced Sergio Saturno. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ahmet Demircioğlu, made in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Abad. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Lebigot in the 63rd minute of play. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Abad. Nicasio Abad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicasio Abad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Joaquin Prats was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicasio Abad in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 78 minutes of play, Peru's Joaquin Prats made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicasio Abad was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Kosmas Banasopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The audience was convinced that Pietro Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
