Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Barahona in the 3rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Carlos Saúl Cortés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvatore Gandarillas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Salvatore Gandarillas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Saúl Cortés in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 25 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Saúl Cortés was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Saúl Cortés came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Carlos Saúl Cortés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Saúl Cortés was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Saúl Cortés made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Héctor David Pechini put in a rough tackle. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Juvenil Wenumapu! It was a well-played corner which Daniel Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's Carlos Saúl Cortés proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Juvenil Wenumapu from getting a goal against them. Carlos Saúl Cortés showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 68th minute of the match. Carlos Saúl Cortés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Timeteo Rondizzoni hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Saúl Cortés. Carlos Saúl Cortés dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When Lautaro Barahona fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's protests and gave Lautaro Barahona a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Academia Juvenil Wenumapu got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Barahona. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Saúl Cortés having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Barahona, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Academia Juvenil Wenumapu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The Academia Juvenil Wenumapu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
