After 2 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. In the 4th minute, Pastor Rutenio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liberland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 7 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Francisco Ixaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Eduino having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Liberland's Enrique Nikola couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Liberland's Rene Eduino. Rene Eduino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Eduino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Joshua Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Ixaka in the 32nd minute of play. If Saturnino Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Enrique Nikola threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Liberland's Rene Eduino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of play. Rene Eduino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Francisco Ixaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Eduino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Liberland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saturnino Abeitia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Rutenio in the 51st minute of play. If Damaso Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rene Eduino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Liberland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Nikola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liberland's goalie prevented a goal. Rene Eduino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The Liberland fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Liberland's Saturnino Abeitia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Liberland's Rene Eduino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Francho in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 92 played minutes Liberland got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Nikola. Liberland's Omar Eudoxio was substituted for German Playo. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Liberland players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
