Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 唐远升, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilo Futbol Club's Fabian Emeterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vilo Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabian Emeterio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Emeterio made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Vilo Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Fabian Emeterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vilo Futbol Club's Fabian Emeterio got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Vilo Futbol Club's 唐远升 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vilo Futbol Club's Uriel Clodio was substituted for Delmiro Ospin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 唐远升 made a kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fabian Emeterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 唐远升 in the 56th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Emeterio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Fabian Emeterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Emeterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Emeterio saved Vilo Futbol Club from getting behind. Alvaro Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabio Hernando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 84 minute of play. Fabian Emeterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
