When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iwan Kolbe. Doug Zappa F.C.'s Iwan Kolbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 8th minute of play. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Felipe Ros's late challenge caught a Doug Zappa F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Ros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Frank Siqueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Siqueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Domingues in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of play forced Doug Zappa F.C.'s goalkeeper Iwan Kolbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwan Kolbe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 41st minute of the match Panama got a corner. Doug Zappa F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Doug Zappa F.C.'s Iwan Kolbe did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Doug Zappa F.C.'s Jonas Domingues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 3-2 after 42 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Siqueira made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Siqueira in the 53rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abraham Alguacil during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Domingues in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Domingues in the 88th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! André Luís Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Doug Zappa F.C.'s Jonas Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
