Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Berganza kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alin Teodorescu got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodim Iacobeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ion Ailincai charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ion Ailincai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Fc Otelul Galati:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. The referee gave Panama a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu. 0-1. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicodim Iacobeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Teodorescu in the 16th minute of the match. Lars Schuster came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos Cotilla could save by the left post. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lars Schuster sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Florian Penc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florian Penc really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Florian Penc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu. Nicodim Iacobeanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Fc Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Nicodim Iacobeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

After some careless play in the Panama defense, Florian Penc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Schuster came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes Fc Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Ion Ailincai. After 73 minutes of play Fc Otelul Galati's Ion Ailincai was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fc Otelul Galati:s Nicodim Iacobeanu showed great skill when he stopped Abraham Alguacil:s penalty. Nicodim Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Iacobeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 79th minute of play. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Fc Otelul Galati from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorla Goretzka, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes Fc Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Hector Garin. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Nicodim Iacobeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fc Otelul Galati fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
