Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otomar Plíva ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfons Öberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Hoskovec went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Otomar Plíva came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Alfons Öberg got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otomar Plíva in the 22nd minute of the match. Moises Fernandino's late challenge caught a SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Fernandino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otomar Plíva in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. 27 minutes into the game, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jiří Bobek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otomar Plíva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Otomar Plíva made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Öberg in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otomar Plíva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarmil Bůžek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Luque in the 59th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Abram Luque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarmil Bůžek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Otomar Plíva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Otomar Plíva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Moises Fernandino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarmil Bůžek was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Richard Rohan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otomar Plíva's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otomar Plíva helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes SK Slavoj Vyšehrad got a freekick which was hit by Otomar Plíva. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
