The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Puerto de Sagunto CF defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gong Yong Nan. The Puerto de Sagunto CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gong Yong Nan should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Francisco José Millán tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abraham Alguacil scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gong Yong Nan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richmond Van Glabeeke in the 29th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richmond Van Glabeeke to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Puerto de Sagunto CF's Richmond Van Glabeeke. But to his dismay, Richmond Van Glabeeke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matia Climent went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco José Millán in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute Richmond Van Glabeeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Puerto de Sagunto CF's Richmond Van Glabeeke. But to his dismay, Richmond Van Glabeeke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. Benê Félix took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Matia Climent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Francisco José Millán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richmond Van Glabeeke's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Puerto de Sagunto CF's Gong Yong Nan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Puerto de Sagunto CF from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richmond Van Glabeeke, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Richmond Van Glabeeke sped through Panama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Félix in the 93rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes of play, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Matia Climent made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Puerto de Sagunto CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
