Pannekoeken's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Geraets in the 10th minute. If Haroldo Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pannekoeken getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jeremie Van Deijck hit a great ball. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Haroldo Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Weather scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Weather in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Weather's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Weather, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 48th minute, Haroldo Weather made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Weather in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rigoberto Mina the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rigoberto Mina had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Pannekoeken booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Weather took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. If Ham Kaas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Pannekoeken got a freekick which was hit by Emil Skikiewicz. In the 93rd match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Weather to maneuver through the defense.
