Gone With the Win's Dráuzio Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 苞 was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dráuzio Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match, Eliseo Mina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dráuzio Mattos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 60 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Mattos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Dráuzio Mattos made a huge save. After 71 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Corey Taylor. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
