In the 22nd minute Amilcar Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Lucio Oquendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Marabino's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Oquendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Real Marabino fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Real Marabino's Lucio Oquendo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 34th minute of the match Real Marabino got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fortunato Leciana ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Amilcar Gomez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josue Barro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Josue Barro made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Oquendo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amilcar Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timeteo Aguirol in the 93rd minute of play. Real Marabino were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
