Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Krzysztof Prus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iwo Kuszczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Bogdan Babicki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. The supporters of Paraguay booed when GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Babicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Primitivo Escribano managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krzysztof Prus in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bogdan Babicki hit a great ball. Stefan Pryputnicki hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan Turek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Turek came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Pardo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 33rd minute. Jaime Pardo had several of the GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Jan Turek as he didn't even see the shot coming. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Turek having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krzysztof Prus was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Pardo scored 3-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Turek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Pryputnicki. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Paraguay booed when GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krzysztof Prus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Primitivo Escribano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan Turek. GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute Iwo Kuszczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Mikulski kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Pryputnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Iwo Kuszczak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paraguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
