Xu Yi Lei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 12th minute. After 21 minutes of play, USA's Edward Mcdonald made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xu Yi Lei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Stegaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldemar Ryback sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xu Yi Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 34th minute of play. Xu Yi Lei made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, City Friseur Wuppertal's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Xu Yi Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

City Friseur Wuppertal's Nebi Tokyürek was substituted for Avram Stegaru. City Friseur Wuppertal made a substitution. Edwin Vestlund replaced Tarkan Ushan. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Ryback made a kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, City Friseur Wuppertal's Nebi Tokyürek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xu Yi Lei having to interfere. Xu Yi Lei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Edward Mcdonald fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Xu Yi Lei. Jenson Smith made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that City Friseur Wuppertal's Xu Yi Lei managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 80th minute of play forced City Friseur Wuppertal's goalkeeper Xu Yi Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldemar Ryback who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jenson Smith was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led USA's Jenson Smith to fire away a dangerous shot which Xu Yi Lei despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albi Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, City Friseur Wuppertal's goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Xu Yi Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khalid Parry took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xu Yi Lei. Xu Yi Lei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.
