Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rüştü Kadim in the 14th minute. Cenap İlbilge succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play forced ஐ ▓▒ ≮Ҝằ§ŧîиGs ≯™ ▒▓ ஐ's goalkeeper Agah Çeliktaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
