Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Puig could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Dagoberto Guimarães however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Loud Academy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Vitinho Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitinho Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Lara went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Hoffmann in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute Vitinho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Dagoberto Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Alcocer during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho Hoffmann got free with Benito Sanz in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dagoberto Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 85th minute, Axel Tasis made a precise shot to the right of Dagoberto Guimarães. Loud Academy FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. If Clemente Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Vitinho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Loud Academy FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
