In the 22nd match minute, Caseys Dreamteam 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghislain Liagre to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Edmundo Espiga from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Ed Wilhelm's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 24th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Charles McQuarrie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Barels came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ralph Barels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evert Vennegoor during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Evert Vennegoor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Freek Wolf in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Ed Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ralph Barels sent off a good shot on target. Freek Wolf made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. In the 78th minute, Christian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ed Wilhelm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
