Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ted Stroobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Ted Stroobos made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhou Kang Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ted Stroobos came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Merenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Cristo Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhou Kang Cheng's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Stroobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albertus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhou Kang Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Warman de Jager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Guzman charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristo Guzman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Zhou Kang Cheng came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Albertus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhou Kang Cheng couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
