Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Ted Stroobos in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 13th minute, Arnold Hemmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos. Ted Stroobos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warman de Jager in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Arnold Hemmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Stroobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, Albertus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Hemmen to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ted Stroobos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ted Stroobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ted Stroobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warman de Jager in the 33rd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warman de Jager in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ted Stroobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warman de Jager, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Stroobos saved Albertus FC from getting behind. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhou Kang Cheng in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Arnold Hemmen lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Julio Vera. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Merenga. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Warman de Jager tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Warman de Jager got free with Julio Vera in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Zhou Kang Cheng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhou Kang Cheng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warman de Jager in the 90th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Albertus FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
