Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sven Günther in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sven Günther. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 齐旭竞 to make the kick off.
