The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Castel Areces fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Bertol having to interfere. Eloi Bermudo's late challenge caught a Xspark Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloi Bermudo helped the player get up and apologised. Eloi Bermudo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Agustin Sidro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Eloi Bermudo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fan Ao Zhou got free with Joel Bertol in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rayland FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fan Ao Zhou was slow to take the kick. During this time Xspark Academy's players had a chance to rest. 13 minutes into the game, Castel Areces lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Joel Bertol. In the 19th minute, Fan Ao Zhou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Bertol was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Xspark Academy getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luizão Mendonça hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Castel Areces in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Bertol saved Rayland FC from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Castel Areces to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Bertol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Castel Areces, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Xspark Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fan Ao Zhou in the 61st minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Lorenzo Gonzalez advanced and headed the ball into goal, 5-0 in the 61st minute. Xspark Academy made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Santervas in the 85th minute of play forced Rayland FC's goalkeeper Joel Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
