Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Aurelio Mederi managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Mederi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Aurelio Mederi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Mederi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. A.C. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Costică Chiriloaie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Dumitru Zdrăilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costin Giugiuc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute of the game Flavius Dragotescu made a throw-in which Costică Chiriloaie played forward. In the 35th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Carballal to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute of the match Aurelio Mederi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match A.C. Milan got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Costică Chiriloaie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Mederi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Bruno Beldad fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Bruno Beldad a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 92 minutes, Camilo Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the A.C. Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over A.C. Milan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Uruguay throughout the match.
