Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes Pekárová rodinka got a freekick which was hit by Van Basten. In the 14th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th minute 江义烨 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes, Axel Tasis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pekárová rodinka players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nebojša Bombis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes, Jan Chaloupka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pekárová rodinka and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Pekárová rodinka got a freekick which was hit by Jan Chaloupka. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Pereira in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pekárová rodinka players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pekárová rodinka booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 苏弘志 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Pekárová rodinka's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Sylwester Pieprz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Pereira to make the kick off. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 江义烨 in the 54th minute of play. If Mathias Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Pereira in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Rafael Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 江义烨 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Pereira in the 78th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 苏弘志, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. During the 81st minute of the match Jan Chaloupka completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan Chaloupka a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 82 played minutes Pekárová rodinka got a freekick which was hit by Jan Chaloupka. Nebojša Bombis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, 江义烨 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Pekárová rodinka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Van Basten didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pekárová rodinka players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
