Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Amado Gamus. Caricancha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Amado Gamus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Astor Senio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caricancha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Senio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muni Forró in the 14th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Gamus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Amado Gamus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Caricancha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caricancha's Amado Gamus did a great save. Amado Gamus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Gamus having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Astor Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmas Simbolon kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Gamus having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Gamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cosmas Simbolon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Muni Forró made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muni Forró in the 55th minute of the match. Caricancha were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Astor Senio took the corner. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Amado Gamus made a huge save. In the 61st minute Muni Forró shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caricancha's Amado Gamus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Caricancha from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Hally in the 89th minute of the match. When Astor Senio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Caricancha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Senio couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Astor Senio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caricancha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
