When Roman Bartoszek came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Zryw Samsonów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Bartoszek couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zryw Samsonów's goalkeeper Ronnie Gregoire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Zryw Samsonów's goalkeeper Ronnie Gregoire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monty Rogers. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Cassius Byrne took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ronnie Gregoire to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the match, Zryw Samsonów's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Ronnie Gregoire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Zryw Samsonów getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Anselmo Morera hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Zryw Samsonów defense, Monty Rogers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronnie Gregoire. The Zryw Samsonów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronnie Gregoire should have stopped the shot. Zryw Samsonów's Ronnie Gregoire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Morera in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. Jenson Smith made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Zryw Samsonów's Ronnie Gregoire managed to reach the ball for a save.
