Pontus Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 11th minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the game, David Celio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Margarita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. David Celio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 20th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Santa Margarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Lordi to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Gerardo Lordi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi was substituted for Witomir Pisarczyk. The supporters of Santa Margarita booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mauro Icardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isidoro Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pontus Nordström having to make a save. Tomas Berganza charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Berganza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus Mohammadi in the 85th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pontus Nordström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 92 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo De Francesco kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Eduardo De Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Margarita's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
