The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Macos Graciani a yellow card for diving instead. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Benigno Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petrică Ştefoi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Gaona. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Epifanio Orlan in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Petrică Ştefoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Epifanio Orlan to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Juanita's Jorge Rosalio got a free kick in the 50th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Epifanio Orlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Epifanio Orlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petrică Ştefoi skillfully saved the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Petrică Ştefoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
