Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gabirel Jesus took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hendrik-Jan Brugmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, AÇAÍ SA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Juan Sebastián Puig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hendrik-Jan Brugmans. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind AÇAÍ SA's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Brugmans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, AÇAÍ SA's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabirel Jesus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Jonas Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Jonas Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabirel Jesus in the 54th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hendrik-Jan Brugmans could save by the left post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabirel Jesus in the 57th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabirel Jesus in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, AÇAÍ SA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to a score. 0-2 in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, AÇAÍ SA's Hendrik-Jan Brugmans got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, AÇAÍ SA's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Brugmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AÇAÍ SA's Hendrik-Jan Brugmans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save AÇAÍ SA from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hendrik-Jan Brugmans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AÇAÍ SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorka Jordo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Papo in the 94th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Aquiles Papo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AÇAÍ SA throughout the match.
