Wesley De Wever made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Wesley De Wever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Luque in the 12th minute of play. Moises Fernandino in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wesley De Wever, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abram Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley De Wever having to interfere. Karel-Jan Biermans hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Marco Tamayo scored to the left of an out of position Wesley De Wever, making the score, 1-0. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Wesley De Wever made a huge save. A collision led to Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Karel-Jan Biermans hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, one of Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dominic Colebrants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. Mateo Leguizamo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Wesley De Wever didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Abram Luque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Wesley De Wever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin got a freekick which was hit by Teun Van Heurick. 62 minutes into the match, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Luque came free, but Wesley De Wever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karel-Jan Biermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natan Coekx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Tamayo in the 74th minute of play forced Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalkeeper Wesley De Wever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominic Colebrants received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Dominic Colebrants slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley De Wever breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 89th minute of play forced Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalkeeper Wesley De Wever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
