After 7 minutes of play, Pannekoeken's Ham Kaas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ham Kaas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Haroldo Weather cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Haroldo Weather ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elbert Haar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Haroldo Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Weather in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Weather was the one to do the kick off. Elbert Haar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremie Van Deijck to maneuver through the defense. Elbert Haar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fernando Geraets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fernando Geraets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Weather, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Haroldo Weather left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pannekoeken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Haroldo Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Haroldo Weather showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 87 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pannekoeken eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
