Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ron McElroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Mitch Dunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mitch Dunn. The supporters of Phyperstars FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 13 minutes on the clock, Rodger Emerson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 14th minute, Rodger Emerson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allen Goss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ron McElroy came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Phyperstars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron McElroy couldn't finish the play. Allen Goss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tracy Landry, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 26 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allen Goss was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ron McElroy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phyperstars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron McElroy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Phyperstars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Allen Goss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerrod Castillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Allen Goss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron McElroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jerrod Castillo made the kick off in the second half. Ron McElroy might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ron McElroy ran back to his position shaking his head. Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allen Goss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 61st minute of play forced Phyperstars FC's goalkeeper Allen Goss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Jerrod Castillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phyperstars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 69 minutes, Efrain Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Phyperstars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Allen Goss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Ron McElroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Efrain Moruga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. 82 minutes into the match, Phyperstars FC's Ron McElroy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ferrant during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron McElroy, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
