Saint Jean Pierre charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saint Jean Pierre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saint Jean Pierre kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Henk Van Cauwenbergh made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Peter-Jan Weba however managed to control. 16 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Peter-Jan Weba came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saint Jean Pierre hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Bobby Gyselincx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's supporters rose to their feet, but Bobby Gyselincx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Seide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Peter-Jan Weba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Wesley De Wever proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the game, Ernso Constant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haiti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin the free kick. In the 39th minute, Ernso Constant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dominic Colebrants made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Colebrants. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by David Smedts in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Raymond Louis. Wesley De Wever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 59th minute of the match. Peter-Jan Weba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Haiti's Noel Seide got control of the ball when Natan Coekx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haiti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Natan Coekx scored to the left of an out of position Noel Seide, making the score, 0-2. Dominic Colebrants sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Dominic Colebrants shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernso Constant to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Dominic Colebrants sped through Haiti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Noel Seide. Wesley De Wever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 97th minute of the match. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
