Albert Gaardahl who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Manzanares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Vimaro. La Maquina 9-12-18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jose Vimaro came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Jose Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro scored 2-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Vimaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colombia's Axel Montenegro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Albert Gaardahl, made in the 30th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Kevin Mastache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jose Vimaro was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If Carmelo Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Vachon came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. If Carmelo Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Jose Vimaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 57th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Kevin Mastache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Bastien Domenge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastien Domenge in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the La Maquina 9-12-18 defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Vimaro. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Vimaro should have stopped the shot. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastien Domenge in the 84th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Carmelo Vachon made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. Ignacio Mastaches short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Jose Vimaro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dario Gelacio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colombia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
