In the 5th minute of the match İbrahim Keskinel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso skillfully saved the ball. After 5 minutes, Olof Mellberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malins Nallebjörnar and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fredric Lundqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Måns Berglund. Måns Berglund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Måns Berglund slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. In the 20th match minute, Malins Nallebjörnar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. Måns Berglund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Malins Nallebjörnar's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Fredric Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Malins Nallebjörnar booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Malins Nallebjörnar's Måns Berglund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Benny Benny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Benny Benny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Camilo Franco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredric Lundqvist. Malins Nallebjörnar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camilo Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Måns Berglund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Måns Berglund made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredric Lundqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Måns Berglund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Olof Mellberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredric Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes Malins Nallebjörnar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Fredric Lundqvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 61st minute Benny Benny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredric Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Malins Nallebjörnar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Camilo Franco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fredric Lundqvist quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredric Lundqvist saved Malins Nallebjörnar from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximiliano Escribano during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Fredric Lundqvist made a huge save. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Malins Nallebjörnar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. After 86 played minutes Malins Nallebjörnar got a freekick which was hit by Frans Jagur. Malins Nallebjörnar's Fredric Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 87th minute of play. Malins Nallebjörnar's Fredric Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Malins Nallebjörnar from getting a goal against them. The Malins Nallebjörnar support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
