Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manos Manteca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of the match. Rodolfo Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rodolfo Urki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Urki got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Urki in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Alberto Semeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Urki notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Urki came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. funebreros's Randy Gultom was substituted for Rodolfo Urki. Godfredo Aresti's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Randy Gultom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Gilberto Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. funebreros's Randy Gultom got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. funebreros were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
