Florencio Rioja scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of play forced SuperChango's goalkeeper German Indar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Urbez charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Urbez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SuperChango getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Celestino Urbez hit a great ball. In the 43rd match minute, SuperChango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Mikelar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SuperChango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes SuperChango got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Tolino. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Indar. German Indar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. German Indar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The SuperChango players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
