In the 8th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Ayham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Florencio Harri dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-0. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Florencio Harri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Farid Ayham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farid Ayham was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Farid Ayham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Bakr Wade made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Kamil Gulson however managed to control. Florencio Harri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Luz Tejedor scored 2-4 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Farid Ayham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Harri in the 45th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play forced Atletico Beirut's goalkeeper Farid Ayham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Bakr Wade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Beirut and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Beirut's zone, Luz Tejedor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Farid Ayham came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mostafa Jabal kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Ayham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play.
