The supporters of Mexico booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhou Kang Cheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 3rd minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Warman de Jager made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Stroobos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Pieter Theissen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warman de Jager in the 38th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhou Kang Cheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Stroobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Warman de Jager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 54th minute of play. Facundo Cadaval scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Stroobos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 59 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ted Stroobos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ted Stroobos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zhou Kang Cheng came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. Ted Stroobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 72nd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhou Kang Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 96th minute of the match. Mexico were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Albertus FC for a fine match.
