Zhou Kang Cheng charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zhou Kang Cheng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Zhou Kang Cheng. 15 minutes into the game, Arnold Hemmen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albertus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Arnold Hemmen kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Hemmen in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Warman de Jager came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas van Diemen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 52nd minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Stroobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Albertus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Stroobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Ted Stroobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnold Hemmen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of the match. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas van Diemen came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klaas Jan Klaassen kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Tomas van Diemen scored 1-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute of the match, Zhou Kang Cheng tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Albertus FC to leave the ground with a draw.
