Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Afşin Derem took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Farid Ayham. Atletico Beirut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Farid Ayham quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Farid Ayham made a huge save. Kamil Gulson's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kamil Gulson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Peru booed when Atletico Beirut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamil Gulson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Ayham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Afşin Derem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Harri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Bakr Wade threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Peru's Julian Murillo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Atletico Beirut's goalkeeper Farid Ayham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Bakr Wade made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mostafa Malik. Mostafa Malik scored 2-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Ayham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Atletico Beirut's Florencio Harri made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. When Florencio Harri fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Beirut's protests and gave Florencio Harri a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Atletico Beirut got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Harri. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Farid Ayham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Gayoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Atletico Beirut's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Farid Ayham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 61st minute of the match. Peru were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Atletico Beirut's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mostafa Malik. In the 70th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Julian Murillo scored 3-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Farid Ayham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Milagros Fraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Harri in the 80th minute. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Farid Ayham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atletico Beirut's goalie and right to Rafael Gallo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atletico Beirut's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Gallo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Farid Ayham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Atletico Beirut getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Arif Egemen Karaca hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes, Peru's Eliseo Mina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Farid Ayham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. In the 94th minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farid Ayham was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. 97 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farid Ayham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atletico Beirut for a fine match.
